Job Description:
Responsible for the design and implementation of new functionality in our client facing Swing GUI application. There is a strong emphasis on Swing development and web interface technologies with this position however it is not a purely front end UI position. Solid object-oriented design skills are required in order to implement a wide-range of functionality utilizing a number of emerging technologies including OSGi, XForms, and GWT. Must be driven, hard working with excellent communications skills.
Required Skills:
* A minimum of 3 years of software development experience with Java
* Must have strong Swing experience including UI layouts, usability design, and user interaction.
* Must have experience with web technologies including XForms, GWT, and JavaScript.
* Must be familiar with Swing UI design patterns, such as Model-View-Controller (MVC).
* Solid object-oriented design skills
* Knowledge of XML including XSD, parsing, validation.
* Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and TestNG
* Familiarity with source control systems in a shared environment
* Proven ability to deliver high quality code
* Excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills:
* Swing
* Java Architecture for XML Binding (JAXB)
* OSGi
* Understanding of how Subversion works
