Top New York City Jewelry Manufacturer/Wholesales has a career opportunity in their Product Engineering Department for an ME with an interest in Consumer Product Development and Design.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Manage and support New Product Engineering by the creation and maintenance of Mechanical Instructions, Product Specifications, Bills of Materials, Routings , QC notes, disposition of materials.
Support the pricing of new product, creating preliminary and final cost sheets and ensuring that final pricing is done within proper timeline.
Manage the Pre-Production process to ensure turnover is done within timeline.
Manage new component development process while approving and expediting new components through the P.C.C process.
Ensure timely communication of project status to various internal groups such as Purchasing, Sales, Design and Merchandising.
Partner with Shop Foreman to prioritize and expedite model, sample and CAD development.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Mechanical Engineer - Four Year Degree.
Interest and some background in Consumer Product Design or experience working with small metal components
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of mechanical drawing software and/or Adobe Photo Deluxe helpful. Standard office equipment.
Must have legal Right to Work in the USA (Citizen or Permanent Resident - Green Card)
Compensation: $60,000
