Please only respond to this add if you have produced (supervised preproduction and printing) at least 25 published books. This is not an editorial project and it is not for someone in the learning process.
I’m a small but experienced publisher who needs help in preparing cost estimates for several books to be published in 2010 as part of my 2010 business planning.
If we work well together, there is substantial additional work in actually getting print bids and supervising the production of these books. However, at this point I do not need actual bids; for business planning purposes, I simply need order of magnitude and cost ranges to produce and print several different types of books.
You must be comfortable producing cost estimates to produce and print books based on ONLY the following information:
T ype of Binding
Trim size
2 color vs. 4 color interior
Page count estimate
You should also know, from experience, the costs for proofreading, copyediting, cover design, etc.
There will be 4-5 books on which I need these estimates at this time.
Compensation: Set Fee
Telecommuting is ok.
