Tidworth Garrison Golf Club is a Private Members Club founded in 1908. Situated on the edge of Salisbury Plain, the Club has 750 members, with an active golf and social calendar for the coming season.
Due to the retirement of the current Steward and Caterer, a competent and affable couple are now required to operate the bar and catering service.
The Caterer will provide a wide variety of food from daily bar snacks through to society menus, club match meals and formal catering for club functions. Providing traditional, home-cooked food, the catering service can be offered on either an employed or self employed franchise basis. The Club has a busy diary of societies, Pro-Ams and matches combined with the daily golf requirements of the members and there is ample opportunity to increase the catering turnover.
The Steward(ess) will manage the bar on behalf of the Club and will possess a lively and outgoing personality, coupled with first class cellar management skills, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere in the Clubhouse at all times. You will be responsible for the security of the building, bar staff rotas, effective purchasing and storage of bar stocks and will be required to participate in the regular stocktaking procedures. You will work closely with the Caterer to ensure that Members, visitors and guests enjoy their time at the Club.
The Club takes pride in its reputation for a friendly, value for money service and would consider previous Members Club experience as an asset but is not essential.
Employment terms are negotiable and purpose-built accommodation is provided.
